Job summary

Institute of Management Accountants, Inc. in India seeks a proactive Junior Accountant to support finance and trade operations. You will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, data entry, data verification, and payment follow-ups.

You will plan field visits, perform data entry into Tally/Excel/ERP, verify entries with documents, and help senior staff with GST/TDS preparation and basic financial summaries.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Check and reply to emails related to payments and document requirements.
• Plan field visits to banks, CA offices, or client/vendor sites as needed.
• Data entry of invoices and expenses into accounting software (Tally/Excel/ERP).
• Verify financial entries with supporting documents.
• Follow up with clients or vendors regarding pending payments via calls or emails.
• Coordinate with internal team for missing documents.
• Visit CA office/bank/vendors for document submission or collection as required.
• Complete payment follow-ups and update status sheets.
• Assist in preparing basic financial summaries for daily transactions.
• Upload scanned documents to digital folders.
• Support GST/TDS preparation or other compliance activities as assigned.
• Cross-check entries made during the day.
• Update senior accountant on tasks and pending issues.
• Plan tasks for the next day.

• Visit the CA office, bank, or vendors for submission/collection of documents (if required).
  
• Complete payment follow-ups and update the collection/payment status sheet.
