Loom Light Interactive is seeking a creative Intern / Junior 2D Artist to join our team for exciting mobile gaming projects. You will collaborate with developers and designers to bring game worlds, characters, and concepts to life with compelling visuals.

As a junior artist, you will translate ideas into visuals, develop placeholders, character designs, backgrounds and props, and contribute to marketing visuals while growing your skill set in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Strong sketching and visualization skills.
• Background in illustration across multiple art styles.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and familiarity with concept art tools.
• Solid understanding of color theory, lighting, composition, anatomy and visual aesthetics.
• Experience designing characters, props and environments for games.
• Excellent visual communication and ability to resolve design challenges.
• Passion for gaming and digital experiences.
• A strong 2D concept art portfolio showing diverse styles.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Developers and Game Designers to create high-quality 2D art assets for games.
• Create in-game artwork including placeholders, character designs, backgrounds, and props.
• Produce visually engaging illustrations for in-game content and marketing materials.
• Ensure all visual assets align with the artistic direction and style of the game.
• Provide quick sketches and visualizations based on briefs or brainstorms.
