Job summary

JSW Steel is seeking a maintenance professional to oversee daily preventive, proactive, and breakdown maintenance tasks within the mechanical domain. You will coordinate with area incharges and associates to ensure plant equipment availability and adherence to SOPs.

The role emphasizes reducing breakdown hours, controlling spares costs, and maintaining IMS documentation under HoD guidance. Safety and proper housekeeping are prioritized to sustain zero-harm practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day corrective, preventive and breakdown maintenance of equipment promptly and reliably.
• Maintain and update IMS documentation as advised by HoD.
• Ensure adherence to safety practices and complete toolbox talks to promote zero-harm culture.
• Coordinate with Section Engineers and ensure availability of plant equipment for maintenance work.

Job description

KPI / KRA:

• No lapses in the Maintenance practices (Preventive, Proactive, Lubrication other maintenance practices) of individual Section
• Reduction in Breakdown Frequency Hours of individual sections by 20% of previous year
• Reduction of Spares cost RPM of individual sections by 2% of approved budget
• Reporting of breakdowns, shutdowns planning, etc. through SAP module
• Improvements in the house keeping, reducing dust emission.
• Ensuring no reportable incidents in the area conducting toolbox talk to adhere the safety practices.
• To look after day to day corrective, preventive and breakdown maintenance of the equipment expeditiously and reliably for effective maintenance in guidance of HoD
• Ensure proper utilization of resources in guidance of HoD
• To maintain records in guidance of HoD
• To co-ordinate with other Section Engineers for dayto day work for availability of plant equipment in guidance of HoD
• Maintaining updating the IMS documents.
• To keep informed HOD (M) of the Plant Operation and Maintenance.
• Ensure safe work practices safety of persons within the area under control to prevent
• Promoting of zero harm culture.
• Ensure implementation of PTW execution of jobs as per SOP.
• In-house training for all workmen employees on Safety standards
• Implementation of SOPs JSAs at site.
• Maintain good housekeeping.
• Implementation of all safety standard requirements in his respective areas.
• Daily job planning and review of SOPs for critical activities
• Maintaining Regulatory Compliance, inspections and audits.
