Bits Pilani Goa Campus invites applications for the position of JRF in the Department of Chemistry for a Department of Biotechnology sponsored project on therapeutics to treat cataract. The project involves cloning, expression and purification of recombinant proteins and their biophysical characterization.
It also aims to test the efficacy of small molecules to inhibit cataract onset via in vitro experiments, cell culture and animal model-based studies.

2.5 years. (The appointment will be renewed every year based on satisfactory performance).
Hostel accommodation will be provided subjected to availability and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate.
Candidates with M.Sc. (Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Life Sciences) or M.Tech. (Biotechnology) having NET/GATE/other equivalent exam may apply. Candidates having Hands on experience on basic molecular biology techniques, mutagenesis, cell culture will have added advantage.
Selected candidate will get a chance to register for Ph.D. program at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus after at least 6 months of joining (subjected to successful clearance of Ph.D. admission process).
