Job summary

Appinessworld is seeking a passionate QA Engineer with 1–2 years of Manual Testing experience to join our Quality Assurance team. You will analyze requirements, create test scenarios, and perform web and mobile testing to ensure a high-quality product.

You will execute functional, regression, and integration tests, document defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Exposure to automation is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in Manual Software Testing.
• Good understanding of STLC and SDLC.
• Experience writing clear test cases and scenarios.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Basic REST API testing knowledge with Postman is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and good communication.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile team.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, and Business Analysts to ensure product quality.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and QA review meetings.
• Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing before releases.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing standards.
• Support Automation Testing initiatives wherever applicable.

Pre Requisites:

Required Skills

• 1–2 years of experience in Manual Software Testing.
• Good understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience in writing clear and comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.
• Knowledge of Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, and Sanity Testing.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla, etc.).
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and API testing using tools like Postman is a plus.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment.

Good to Have

• Knowledge or hands-on experience in Automation Testing using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar tools.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Git.
• Exposure to performance or security testing is an added advantage.
