The Jr. Biomedical Technician will be responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of medical equipment. The requires technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and coordination with clinical and technical teams to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services.
- Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of biomedical equipment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and calibration of medical devices.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor faults in biomedical equipment.
- Ensure proper functioning of equipment such as monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and diagnostic devices.
- Maintain records of maintenance, calibration, and repair activities.
- Coordinate with vendors for major repairs and annual maintenance contracts (AMC).
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and biomedical regulations.
- Support clinical staff in proper usage of medical equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections toentify equipment issues or risks.
- Ensure availability of spare parts and maintain inventory of biomedical supplies.
- Assist in equipment audits and documentation for accreditation requirements.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols while handling equipment.
- Ensure minimal downtime of critical medical equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of biomedical workshop and equipment areas.
- Participate in training programs and skill development activities.
- Support emergency equipment readiness and availability.
- Maintain coordination with different departments for equipment servicing.
- Ensure proper documentation as per NABH guidelines.
- Report equipment issues and maintenance updates to senior engineers.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the biomedical department or management.
