Virtusa is seeking a software engineer with strong backend skills in Java Spring, microservices, and frontend basics (HTML, CSS, JS) using React and TypeScript.
You will design, develop, and maintain backend services with Java 17+ and Spring Boot, and integrate Kafka, OpenSearch, and Alfresco CMS while contributing to frontend tasks.
The role involves NLP/semantic analytics, graph modelling, LPG/RDF, NER and SPARQL, with hands-on work on knowledge graphs and related libraries.

Working experience in front end skills HTML, CSS, JS, REACT JS and TyeScript.
Hands on exp -10+. .Application Development Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices and enterprise applications using Java 17 or 21, and Spring/Spring Boot frameworks.
Design & Development Architect and implement full-stack applications using Core Java (Java 17 or higher) and the Spring Boot framework.
Microservices Architecture Build and manage independent services that communicate via synchronous (REST, OpenFeign) or asynchronous (Kafka, RabbitMQ) protocols.
Should be thorough with fundamentals of Semantic analytics mainly the layers & modelling
Should be knowing techniques like Sentiment analysis, NER, Intent classification
Should have working experience in Knowledge Graphs
Build custom applications using popular NLP libraries like spaCy or NLTK.
Graph Modelling Should be strong in fundamentals in Graph data model structures- Nodes and edges Key-value pairs
Working experience in Labeled Property Graph (LPG) and RDF (Resource Description Framework) Built on "triples" (Subject \( ightarrow \) Predicate \( ightarrow \) Object), predominantly used for semantic knowledge graphs and web data
Strong working experience in SPARQL - W3C semantic query language designed to retrieve and manipulate data stored in RDF (Resource Description Framework) format. USAGE across graph databases and interconnected knowledge graphs.
