Dev Jewels in Mumbai seeks a creative jewelry designer who can turn ideas, customer requirements and market trends into detailed hand-drawn sketches and accurate CorelDRAW designs, covering concept to production-ready artwork.

You will research trends, develop mood boards, ensure designs are feasible and cost-conscious, and produce complete specification packages for production handoff.

Responsibilities

• Convert rough sketches into clean production CorelDRAW files.
• Work with the CAD team to ensure manufacturability.
• Modify designs based on client feedback and custom orders.
• Maintain organized library of designs and sketches.
• Meet deadlines for new collections, catalogs and client orders.

looking for a creative jewelry designer who can turn ideas, customer requirements and market trends into detailed hand-drawn sketches and accurate CorelDRAW designs. The role covers the full design process, from concept to production-ready artwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Bring original design ideas and fresh perspectives to the collection, proposing new concepts, forms, and directions beyond the Creative Director's briefs
• Research jewelry trends, materials, finishes, and competitive market direction to inform seasonal development
• Develop mood boards and design concepts that support the collection vision
• Design with construction, feasibility, and cost in mind, balancing creativity, wearability, and commercial viability
• Create detailed technical drawings, including section drawings, annotations, and full specifications with dimensions, construction details, stone placement, materials, and finishes
• Build and maintain complete specification packages for each style, ready for production handoff
• Develop designs across categories such as rings, necklaces, earrings, bangles, pendants and bridal sets
• Convert rough sketches and customer references into clean, production-ready CorelDRAW files
• Work with the CAD team to ensure designs can be manufactured
• Modify and customise designs based on client feedback and custom orders
• Maintain an organised library of designs and sketches
• Meet design deadlines for new collections, catalogues and client orders

Required Skills

• Strong hand-sketching and rendering skills, including colour work and shading
• Proficiency in CorelDRAW (vector drawing, layout and file preparation)
• Good knowledge of jewellery types, styles and construction (gold, silver, diamond and gemstone jewellery)
• Understanding of stone settings (prong, bezel, pavé, channel, etc.) and metal finishes
• Strong sense of proportion, aesthetics, colour and detail
• Ability to interpret client briefs and turn them into designs

Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory)

• Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator
• Familiarity with CAD software such as Matrix, RhinoGold
