Job summary

Ami Jewels seeks an experienced Jewellery CAD Designer to join its in-house manufacturing team in Vesu, Surat. You will translate concepts and sketches into accurate CAD models, producing production-ready files for rings, earrings, pendants, and more.

The role focuses on CAD design over hand sketching, with strong knowledge of 3D jewellery modelling and manufacturing. You will collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are practical and high-quality.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D CAD models for jewellery based on sketches and client requirements.
• Develop production-ready CAD files for rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets and more.
• Work extensively on jewellery CAD software and maintain high modelling accuracy.
• Understand construction, stone placement, metal thickness and manufacturing feasibility.
• Prepare CAD designs with casting, finishing, polishing and stone-setting in mind.
• Make revisions based on client, designer or production feedback.
• Coordinate with production to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
• Create accurate stone layouts, settings, prongs, channels and bezels.
• Maintain dimensions, tolerances and structural integrity in CAD models.
• Work on custom projects and reproduce existing designs accurately.
• Ensure CAD files meet quality and manufacturing standards.

About Ami Jewels

Ami Jewels is a fine jewellery manufacturing company specializing in Platinum and Gold jewellery with Natural and Lab-Grown Diamonds and Precious Stones.

We are looking for a Jewellery CAD Designer to join our in-house manufacturing team in Vesu, Surat.

This role is primarily focused on professional jewellery CAD designing, 3D modelling, and production-ready CAD development. We are looking for someone who enjoys working on the computer and can convert concepts, references, sketches, and technical requirements into accurate jewellery CAD models.

• Create 3D CAD models for jewellery based on sketches, reference images, concepts, and client requirements.
• Develop production-ready CAD files for rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets, necklaces, bangles and other fine jewellery.
• Work extensively on jewellery CAD software and maintain high modelling accuracy.
• Understand jewellery construction, proportions, stone placement, metal thickness, setting requirements and manufacturing feasibility.
• Prepare CAD designs keeping casting, finishing, polishing and stone-setting processes in mind.
• Make modifications and revisions based on client, designer or production requirements.
• Coordinate with the production and manufacturing team to ensure that CAD designs are practical and manufacturable.
• Create accurate stone layouts, settings, prongs, channels, bezels and other technical jewellery details.
• Maintain proper dimensions, tolerances and structural integrity in CAD models.
• Work on custom jewellery projects and reproduce existing/reference designs accurately.
• Ensure CAD files meet the company's quality and manufacturing standards.

What We Are Looking For

• Has strong experience in Jewellery CAD Designing.
• Is highly comfortable working on a computer for extended periods.
• Has a good understanding of 3D jewellery modelling and manufacturing.
• Can create detailed and technically accurate jewellery models.
• Understands how a CAD model translates into an actual manufactured jewellery piece.
• Has a good eye for proportions, symmetry, finishing and detailing.
• Can work independently as well as coordinate with the production team.
• Is willing to learn and adapt to new designs, techniques and manufacturing requirements.
• Has attention to detail and takes ownership of the quality of their work.

Important

This position is CAD-focused rather than manual-design-focused.

Candidates whose primary strength is only hand sketching/manual jewellery designing, without strong jewellery CAD skills, may not be suitable for this role.
