Job summary

Talent Corner Hr Services is seeking a Jewellery CAD Designer in India. The role involves translating concepts into production-ready 3D CAD models for jewellery, including rings, earrings, pendants, and more.

You will work with sketches and client concepts, applying stone-setting techniques and ensuring precise dimensions for manufacturing. The ideal candidate has 1–3+ years of experience and strong CAD software skills (Rhino, MatrixGold, JewelCAD, RhinoGold).

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience as Jewellery CAD Designer.
• Strong proficiency in jewellery CAD software such as Rhino 3D, MatrixGold, JewelCAD, RhinoGold, or similar.
• Strong understanding of jewellery manufacturing and construction.
• Portfolio of previous jewellery CAD work.
• Ability to understand jewellery drawings, sketches, reference images, and client requirements.
• Knowledge of metal thickness, tolerances, stone clearance, prong dimensions, and other production considerations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team.
• Good communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed and production-ready 3D CAD models for jewellery including rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets, necklaces, and other pieces.
• Convert sketches, images, and client concepts into accurate CAD designs.
• Understand and apply jewellery stone-setting techniques, including prong, bezel, pave, channel, halo, and other settings.
• Ensure correct stone sizes, measurements, proportions, clearances, and setting details.
• Prepare CAD designs suitable for wax/resin printing and manufacturing.
• Make revisions based on client or production feedback.
• Work closely with the design, sales, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical and production-ready.
• Create variations in metal types, stone sizes, settings, and design elements when required.
• Check CAD models carefully for manufacturing feasibility before final submission.
• Maintain accuracy and consistency across multiple jewellery designs and revisions.
• Meet agreed turnaround times while maintaining high design quality.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Jewellery CAD Designer who can translate jewellery concepts, sketches, and reference images into accurate, production-ready 3D CAD models.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of jewellery construction, stone setting, proportions, and manufacturing requirements, along with excellent attention to detail.

Role & responsibilities

• Create detailed and production-ready 3D CAD models for jewellery including rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets, necklaces, and other custom pieces.
• Convert sketches, images, and client concepts into accurate CAD designs.
• Understand and apply jewellery stone-setting techniques, including prong, bezel, pave, channel, halo, hidden halo, bezel, and other settings.
• Ensure correct stone sizes, measurements, proportions, clearances, and setting details.
• Prepare CAD designs suitable for wax/resin printing and manufacturing.
• Make revisions based on client or production feedback.
• Work closely with the design, sales, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical and production-ready.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1-3+ years of experience as a Jewellery CAD Designer preferred.
• Strong proficiency in jewellery CAD software such as Rhino 3D, MatrixGold, JewelCAD, RhinoGold, or similar software.
• Strong understanding of jewellery manufacturing and construction.
• Good knowledge of diamonds and gemstones, including stone dimensions and setting requirements.
• Ability to understand jewellery drawings, sketches, reference images, and client requirements.
• Knowledge of metal thickness, tolerances, stone clearance, prong dimensions, and other production considerations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team.

Good communication and time-management skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with custom jewellery and international designs.
• Experience creating CADs for engagement rings, wedding bands, eternity rings, tennis jewellery, earrings, pendants, and other fine jewellery.
• Experience preparing designs for 3D printing and manufacturing.
• Experience working with both natural and lab-grown diamonds.
