Job summary

Selvalakshmi Diamonds in Coimbatore is seeking a full-time Jewelry CAD Designer to create precise 3D CAD models for diamond jewelry and customize pieces. Based on-site, you will collaborate with design, sales and production teams to develop new concepts, modify existing designs, and prepare technical drawings, weights, and dimensions for manufacturing.

Proficiency with Rhino and strong attention to detail are essential, with prior experience in jewelry manufacturing a plus.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Jewelry CAD Designer role based in Coimbatore. The Jewelry CAD Designer will create detailed 3D CAD models for diamond jewelry, ensuring designs are accurate for manufacturing and stone setting. Daily work includes collaborating with design and sales teams to develop new design concepts, and modifying existing designs as needed. The role involves preparing technical drawings, weight and dimension calculations, and rendering designs for client presentations.

Qualifications

• Strong CAD design skills for jewelry, including experience with industry-standard software Rhino
• Ability to create precise technical drawings, 3D models, and production-ready files for casting and stone setting.
• Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing processes, diamond and gemstone setting, and metal properties.
• Attention to detail, creativity in jewelry design, and an eye for aesthetics and proportions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with design, sales, and production teams on-site.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to client feedback.
• Prior experience as a Jewelry CAD Designer or in a similar role within the jewelry industry is an advantage.
