Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced backend developer to join our engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain microservices using Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot and REST services, with containerization in Docker and Kubernetes (Helm).

You will work in an Agile environment with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and SonarQube, and contribute to API gateways, DevOps practices, and overall SDLC improvements. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Backend developer with hands on development experience working with Spring, Spring Boot, REST services, Java 8+, building microservices using Docker, Helm, K8 configs etc.
• Strong knowledge of BDD/TDD and JUnit
• Strong knowledge of the entire software development lifecycle
• Experience of working with DevOps tools – Jenkins, Git, SonarQube, Docker etc.
• Significant experience with agile development methodologies and tooling (e.g., Scrum, Jira & Confluence)
• Experience of using software development toolsets including DevOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery
• Experiences and understanding of Microservices
• Experience and understanding of API gateways
• Strong analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills

Education - 15 years of full time education

Must-Have

• Backend developer with hands on development experience working with Spring , Spring Boot , rest services ,Java 8+, Building Microservice using the Docker, Helm, K8 configs etc.
• Strong knowledge of BDD/TDD and Junit
• Strong Knowledge on the entire software development cycle
• Experience of working with Devops tools – Jenkin, Git, Sonar, Docker etc.
• Significant experience with agile development methodologies and tooling etc. Eg: Scrum, Jira & Confluence
• Experience of using software development toolsets including DevOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery
