Job summary

Epitria Consulting is seeking an experienced Java Tech lead/IC to design and deliver scalable enterprise applications for Capital Markets and Investment Banking. You will work with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Python, Cloud, and AI-assisted tools while mentoring teams in an AI-first engineering environment.

The role is an Individual Contributor position based in Gurugram with hybrid work (2 days in office).

Qualifications

• 7 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
• Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Microservices, REST APIs, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, SOLID, and Clean Code.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Strong SQL and database optimization skills.
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good conceptual understanding and working knowledge of Python.
• Excellent debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise applications using Java technologies.
• Design and develop high-performance backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineering teams, and establish coding best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical design, code reviews, and technology selection.
• Leverage Python for contributions when required and integrate AI-assisted tools as appropriate.
