Job summary

Capco, a global technology and management consulting firm, seeks an experienced Solution Architect with a strong Java backend engineering and architecture background to design and deliver payment solutions for major clients in Vadodara.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Mobile, DevOps, Security and business teams, guiding technical direction, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance systems while contributing to Capco’s growth in the payments domain.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of Java/J2EE backend development and solution architecture.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and API integrations.
• Extensive Payments domain experience and understanding of end-to-end payment journeys.
• Experience with designing scalable, resilient, secure, and high-performance distributed systems.
• Ability to work with Product, Engineering, Mobile, DevOps, Security and business teams.

• Bridge architecture and engineering, providing technical direction and driving end-to-end solution design for complex payment products.
• Lead architecture decisions and review designs and code.

We’re looking for an experienced Solution Architect with a strong Java backend engineering and architecture background, along with hands-on experience designing and building solutions for the Payments domain.

What we’re looking for:

12+ years of experience in Java/J2EE backend development and solution architecture Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and API integrations Strong Payments domain experience and understanding of end-to-end payment journeys Proven experience designing scalable, resilient, secure, and high-performance distributed systems Strong understanding of microservices architecture, API design, integration patterns, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native solutions Experience defining solution architecture, technical designs, integration patterns, and engineering standards Ability to work closely with Product, Engineering, Mobile (Android/iOS), DevOps, Security, and business teams Ability to provide technical leadership, guide engineering teams, review designs/code, and drive key architecture decisions Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working with senior client and technology stakeholders

Good to have: Experience architecting solutions supporting Android/iOS mobile applications, including backend services, APIs, authentication, payment integrations, and mobile-to-backend integration patterns.

We’re looking for a hands-on and technically strong architect who can bridge architecture and engineering, provide technical direction, and drive end-to-end solution design for complex payment products.
