Job summary

Iris Software, Inc. is seeking a skilled Java backend developer to design and implement high-performance microservices using Spring Framework and RESTful APIs. You will work with Oracle/Sybase databases, optimize SQL, and manage data access layers with Hibernate. Knowledge of Python, Airflow, and CI/CD tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Primary skill: Java with Spring Boot / Spring MVC / Spring Security and RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and relational databases (Oracle, Sybase).
• Experience with SQL optimization, PL/SQL (Oracle) and T-SQL (Sybase), stored procedures and indexing.
• Secondary skills include Hibernate ORM, Python scripting, and Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
• Nice-to-have: CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD); Docker and Kubernetes; Git version control.

Job Description

.Primary Skill(s): Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security). RESTful API development and integration. Knowledge of Micro-services architecture; Strong experience with Oracle and / or Sybase databases. SQL query optimization and performance tuning. Experience with PL/SQL (Oracle) and T-SQL (Sybase), stored procedures, triggers, and indexing.
2. Secondary Skill(s): Familiarity with ORM frameworks like Hibernate. Experience with python scripting. Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration. Scheduling, DAG creation, and troubleshooting Airflow pipelines.
3. Nice to have’s: Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD). Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes. Version control using Git.
