Job summary

Purview Services is looking for a backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs using Java Spring Boot and Python Flask/FastAPI. You will write clean, testable code, collaborate with frontend teams, product managers, and other engineers to deliver features and improvements, and troubleshoot complex issues.

The role also involves building CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible, and ensuring reliability with Docker,

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building backend services and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Java Spring Boot or Python Flask/FastAPI.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and IaC tooling.
• Proficient in containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry and Splunk.

Role & responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services and APIs using Java (Spring Boot) and Python (Flask/Fast).
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver new features and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in our backend applications and distributed systems.
• Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure CI/CD pipelinesto support our software development lifecycle.
• Develop and manage our cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Champion automation to streamline operational processes, reduce manual intervention, and improve system reliability.
• Manage and orchestrate containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement and manage Observability through Opentelemetry, Splunk.
