Job summary

Citigroup Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Java Full Stack Developer to independently build scalable web applications and complex backend systems. You will contribute across RESTful APIs, microservices, and ReactJS front-end, ensuring robust, secure, and scalable software.

You will collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, utilize Docker/Kubernetes for deployment, and work within financial services to deliver high-quality solutions with strong testing and performance practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience, with financial services preferred.
• Strong backend skills: Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Hibernate.
• Database experience with Oracle/PLSQL or MongoDB.
• Frontend skills with ReactJS, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with performance optimizations and testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices (Jenkins, Git).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and applications using Java/Spring.
• Use Docker, Kubernetes and other containerized tools to deploy microservices.
• Monitor performance and security of microservices and optimize as needed.
• Collaborate with DevOps to build and manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git).
• Develop and maintain robust web applications using ReactJS as the frontend.
• Implement responsive, UX-focused interfaces and accessible UI.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and applications using backend technologies like Java and Spring framework.
• Use Docker, Kubernetes and other containerized tools to manage and deploy microservices.
• Monitor microservices performance and security and proactively fix issues or optimize services.
• Work closely with the DevOps team to build, deploy, and manage applications in CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, or equivalent.
• Develop and maintain robust and scalable web applications primarily using ReactJS for the front-end.
• Implement responsive and interactive user interfaces with a strong focus on user experience.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in full-stack development, with experience in the Financial Service industry preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience of backend development using Java with Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, REST API, and Hibernate.
• Hands-on understanding of relational databases like Oracle, PL/SQL or No-SQL Databases like MongoDB.
• Experience with performance optimizations tools and techniques for both front-end and back-end.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• ReactJS concepts and hands‑on coding skills in ReactJS (JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Experience in modern front‑end technologies including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and popular ReactJS libraries/frameworks.
• Understanding test‑driven development and experience with testing frameworks (e.g.,Jest, React Testing Library, JUnit, Mockito).

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
• Leetcode/Hackerank/Github Online coding repositories.
• Knowledge of cloud computing technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies (Agile or Scrum).
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Git, Jenkins, and Docker).
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills with good teamwork capabilities.
