Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Developer in Pune to independently build scalable web applications and complex backend systems. You will create RESTful APIs, microservices, and robust front-ends using ReactJS, while collaborating with DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and deployments.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in full-stack roles, strong Java/Spring Boot expertise, and experience with microservices, databases, and modern front-end tech.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience; financial services background preferred.
• Proficient in Java with Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and Hibernate.
• Strong database knowledge; Oracle/PL-SQL or NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB).
• Experience optimizing front-end and back-end performance; Git for version control.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and apps using Java/Spring.
• Containerize and deploy using Docker/Kubernetes; manage microservices.
• Monitor performance and security; proactively fix issues; optimize services.
• Collaborate with DevOps to build/deploy CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git).
• Develop robust, scalable web UIs with ReactJS and responsive design.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and applications using backend technologies like Java and Spring framework.
• Use Docker, Kubernetes and other containerized tools to manage and deploy microservices.
• Monitor microservices performance and security and proactively fix issues or optimize services.
• Work closely with the DevOps team to build, deploy, and manage applications in CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, or equivalent.
• Develop and maintain robust and scalable web applications primarily using ReactJS for the front-end.
• Implement responsive and interactive user interfaces with a strong focus on user experience.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in full-stack development, with experience in the Financial Service industry preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience of backend development using Java with Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, REST API, and Hibernate.
• Hands-on understanding of relational databases like Oracle, PL/SQL or No-SQL Databases like MongoDB.
• Experience with performance optimizations tools and techniques for both front-end and back-end.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• ReactJS concepts and hands-on coding skills in ReactJS (JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Experience in modern front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and popular ReactJS libraries/frameworks.
• Understanding test-driven development and experience with testing frameworks (e.g.,Jest, React Testing Library, JUnit, Mockito).

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
• Leetcode/Hackerank/Github Online coding repositories.
• Knowledge of cloud computing technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies (Agile or Scrum).
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Git, Jenkins, and Docker).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with good teamwork capabilities.
