Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Developer to independently build scalable web applications and complex backend systems. You will work across backend with Java/Spring Boot and microservices, and frontend with ReactJS, delivering responsive, user-focused interfaces.

You will collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD in Jenkins pipelines, while ensuring performance and security of services. 4+ years of relevant experience in financial services is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-stack development experience, preferably in financial services.
• Proficient in Java with Spring Boot, microservices, REST API, and Hibernate.
• Strong front-end skills with ReactJS and JavaScript/TypeScript; HTML5/CSS.
• Experience with containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes; CI/CD workflows.
• Familiarity with test frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Jest).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and web applications using Java/Spring.
• Build and deploy microservices with Docker and Kubernetes; collaborate with DevOps in CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop front-end features with ReactJS, focusing on responsive UX and performance.
• Monitor performance and security of services; fix issues and optimize as needed.
• Develop robust web apps using ReactJS frontend.
• Implement responsive UIs with emphasis on UX.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and applications using backend technologies like Java and Spring framework.
• Use Docker, Kubernetes and other containerized tools to manage and deploy microservices.
• Monitor microservices performance and security and proactively fix issues or optimize services.
• Work closely with the DevOps team to build, deploy, and manage applications in CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, or equivalent.
• Develop and maintain robust and scalable web applications primarily using ReactJS for the front-end.
• Implement responsive and interactive user interfaces with a strong focus on user experience.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of relevant experience in full-stack development, with experience in the Financial Service industry preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience of backend development using Java with Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, REST API, and Hibernate.
• Hands‑on understanding of relational databases like Oracle, PL/SQL or No‑SQL Databases like MongoDB.
• Experience with performance optimizations tools and techniques for both front-end and back-end.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• ReactJS concepts and hands‑on coding skills in ReactJS (JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Experience in modern front‑end technologies including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and popular ReactJS libraries/frameworks.
• Understanding test‑driven development and experience with testing frameworks (e.g.,Jest, React Testing Library, JUnit, Mockito).

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
• Leetcode/Hackerank/Github Online coding repositories.
• Knowledge of cloud computing technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies (Agile or Scrum).
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Git, Jenkins, and Docker).
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills with good teamwork capabilities.
