About the Role

We are building a new team to configure and customise our ICD-ICM insurance platform for client needs. This role focuses on configuring a proprietary platform, not building a product from scratch. About 80-90% of the work is configuration, and Core Java is used for changes that need deeper access to application code or architecture.

As a founding member of the team, you will help shape delivery practices from the start and work closely with business and technical stakeholders to turn insurance requirements into working platform solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure the ICD-ICM platform to meet client-specific business requirements
• Modify and enhance UI elements, screens, and workflows
• Strong Communication skills are the key for this Role.
• Implement business validations and rules within the platform
• Manipulate, map and transform application data for different business scenarios
• Understand and work with the platform's data model, including how tables relate to each other and how system objects interact
• Write and maintain Core Java code for changes beyond standard configuration
• Analyse insurance business requirements and translate them into configuration solutions
• Troubleshoot configuration and data issues, and support testing and deployment
• Document configurations, design decisions, and changes

Required Skills

• Core Java: solid fundamentals, including OOP, collections, exception handling and debugging existing code
• Data model understanding: ability to read and reason about how application data is stored in tables, how tables relate to each other, and how objects interact within the system
• Database knowledge: working knowledge of relational databases and SQL for querying and analysing data
• Insurance domain interest: genuine interest in learning insurance processes (such as policy, claims and billing), since the platform is configured around them
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills for working with business and technical teams
