Job summary

Royal Bank of Scotland is seeking a Software Engineer at AVP level to engineer and maintain customer-centric, high-performance software solutions. You will work within a feature team, shaping software, scripts and tooling across the platform and liaising with engineers, architects and business analysts.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Core Java, Multithreading, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Unix Shell Scripting.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and cloud-native application development.
• Strong database expertise, preferably with Sybase and/or PostgreSQL.
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable microservices-based architectures.
• Experience using industry-recognized frameworks, design patterns, and modern development tooling.
• Prior experience in investment banking, capital markets, or the financial services domain will be an added advantage.

In your new role, you'll engineer and maintain innovative, customer centric, high performance, secure and robust solutions.
