Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 4+ years of overall IT experience.
• 4+ years’ experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• 2+ years’ experience with Cloud tech: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• 2+ years’ experience with source code management systems (e.g. SVN/Git, GitHub), CI/CD, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code.

Responsibilities

• Perform general application development activities, including unit testing, code deployment to environments using Java, Spring Boot on GCP.
• Maintains and enhances high-scale applications from backend to UI, focusing on security and scalability.
• Apply modern software development practices (serverless, microservices, CI/CD, IaC).
• Triage product or system issues and debug/resolve them by analyzing impact on network or services.
• Work across teams to integrate systems with internal systems, Data Fabric, and CSA Toolset.
• Document code/processes for quick onboarding of developers.
• Participate in estimation, project planning, user story grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives.

What you’ll do

Perform general application development activities, including unit testing, code deployment to various environments using Java, Spring Boot on GCP

Maintains and enhances high-scale applications from the backend to the UI layer, focusing on operational excellence, security, and scalability. Solves problems with medium complexity

Apply modern software development practices (serverless computing, microservices architecture, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, etc.)

Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve them by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on network, or service operations and quality.

Work across teams to integrate our systems with existing internal systems, Data Fabric, and CSA Toolset.

Documents code/processes so any other developer can dive in with minimal effort.

Actively participates in the estimation process, project planning, user story grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives, etc.

Cloud Certification Strongly Preferred

Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

4+ years of overall IT experience

4+ years’ experience working with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices

2+ years’ experience with Cloud technology: GCP, AWS, or Azure

2+ years’ experience with source code management systems (e.g. SVN/Git, GitHub), CICD, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code

2+ years’ experience with software build management tools like Maven or Gradle
