Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Java developer strong in core Java to tackle typical coding problems, including string mutability, collections, and concurrency, with a focus on robust problem solving.

The stack includes Spring MVC and Kafka; Microservices and AWS are not used in the current app. Familiarity with Hibernate and Oracle DB is desirable, and UI work will involve React JS.

Qualifications

• Strong core Java skills with focus on String mutability, collections, concurrency and threading.
• Analytical problem solving with ability to justify design choices.
• Experience with Spring MVC, Hibernate and Kafka in a business app;Oracle DB familiarity.
• Spring MVC with Hibernate; current stack does not use Microservices or AWS.

Job Summary

Must Have:

1. Very Strong in Core Java. Should be able to demonstrate the programming skill to address typical core java-based coding problems – Typically String Mutability, Collection Framework, Concurrence & Multi-Threading will be the area of focus
2. Any proposed candidate should demonstrate their problem-solving skill analytically and be able to explain why any solution is implemented than what part
3. The application is Spring MVC application with some usage of Kafka. Microservice & AWS is not being used at least in the current application stack. So, familiarity with Spring MVC along with Hibernate would be helpful for this engagement
4. As data base is Oracle so any proposed profile should be comfortable

Good To have

1. UI work will be primarily in the React JS
2. Any knowledge on Microservice & Spring boot
