Job summary

Zensar Technologies is seeking a Sr Java backend Tech Lead with 12+ years of experience to guide architecture and development of scalable backend services. You will shape microservices, REST/SOAP integrations, and cloud-native deployments while mentoring teams and driving modern DevOps practices.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, architecture reviews, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders in a payments-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline (BE/B.Tech/MCA).
• Master's Degree (M.Tech/MS) is preferred.
• Relevant cloud, architecture, or Java certifications are an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to development teams.
• Design and develop microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain SOAP-based web services and enterprise integrations.
• Build and support messaging and event-driven architectures using MQ technologies.
• Define and implement cloud-native solutions across AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms.
• Establish best practices for coding standards, performance optimization, security, and maintainability.
• Drive DevOps and CI/CD implementation for automated build, testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor and coach developers on technical design, coding standards, and emerging technologies.
• Leverage AI-enabled development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve engineering productivity.
• Participate in solution architecture reviews, code reviews, and production support activities.
• Contribute to digital transformation initiatives within the Payments domain.
