Job summary

Zensar Technologies is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design and build enterprise-grade microservices applications using Java 21, Spring Boot, and modern cloud-native practices. You will contribute to scalable, secure APIs and collaborate across Agile teams.

Responsibilities include delivering high-performance services, implementing RESTful interfaces, containers with Docker/Kubernetes, and integrating with AWS or Azure, Kafka, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5–12 years of Java-based application development experience.
• Experience with cloud-native, microservices architectures.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/IT or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance applications using Java 21 and Spring Boot.
• Develop and implement Microservices Architecture with RESTful APIs.
• Build secure and resilient APIs using JWT Authentication and industry-standard security practices.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure for application deployment and maintenance.
• Implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
• Develop data access layers using SQL and jOOQ.
• Design and implement caching solutions to improve application performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and version control using Git.
• Monitor application performance and implement best practices for scalability, security, and reliability.
• Strong experience in Java 21 and Core Java concepts.
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
• Hands‑on experience with Microservices Architecture.
• Strong knowledge of REST API design and development.
• Experience with JWT, OAuth2, and API Security.
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Hands‑on experience with Apache Kafka.
• Strong SQL and database design experience.
• Experience with jOOQ framework.
• Knowledge of caching technologies such as Redis, EhCache, or Caffeine Cache.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools.
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
• Experience with Spring Cloud, API Gateway, Service Discovery, and Distributed Tracing.
• Knowledge of Design Patterns and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Experience with Monitoring & Logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or Splunk.
• Familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience working in Banking, Payments, or Financial Services domains.
