Job summary

Persistent Systems is seeking a Java Cloud Developer with 5–8 years of backend experience to design, build, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications. You will work with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices across AWS/Azure/GCP, implementing Kafka-based eventing, Docker containers, and Kubernetes deployments.

You will participate in CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and performance tuning in an Agile environment, collaborating with DevOps, QA, and product stakeholders to deliver robust

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of Java backend development experience.
• Strong Java 8/11/17 and OOP.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Experience deploying cloud-native apps on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern tooling.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 5 to 8 years of experience in Java application development and backend engineering.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java 8/11/17 and object-oriented programming principles.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices Architecture.
• Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Hands-on experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience implementing event-driven architectures using Kafka, Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes platforms.
• Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, resiliency, and cloud-native design principles.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in SQL and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.Experience with monitoring tools and observability frameworks.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within Agile and cross-functional teams.
