Job summary

Persistent Systems is seeking a Java SQL Developer with 6-9 years of backend experience to design and implement enterprise-grade applications. You will work on scalable RESTful APIs, microservices, and secure architectures using Spring technologies, Hibernate/JPA, and strong SQL skills.

The role involves collaboration across architects, QA, and DevOps teams in an Agile environment. You will contribute to performance tuning, code reviews, testing, and deployments while adhering to best practices

Qualifications

• 6-9 years of Java application development and enterprise software engineering.
• Strong Core Java skills including OOP, Collections, Exception Handling, Multithreading.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, Microservices, and distributed applications.
• Relational DBs such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Strong SQL skills including optimization, stored procedures, indexing.
• Familiar with ORM and transaction management.
• Knowledge of Microservices architecture, API design, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ preferred.
• Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Maven, Gradle, and build automation tools.
• CI/CD, DevOps practices, and automated deployment.
• Docker, Kubernetes, and container deployment desirable.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP an advantage.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring technologies.

Expertise you will bring:

• Strong proficiency in Core Java including Object-Oriented Programming (OOP),Collections Framework, Exception Handling, Multithreading, Concurrency, and Design Patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate ORM frameworks.
• Strong experience building RESTful APIs, Microservices, and distributed applications.
• Expertise in relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Strong SQL skills including query optimization, stored procedures, indexing, normalization, and database performance tuning.
• Experience with ORM frameworks and database transaction management.
• Knowledge of Microservices Architecture, API design principles, service communication, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Familiarity with messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ is preferred.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Maven, Gradle, and build automation tools.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated deployment processes.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment is desirable.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is an advantage.
