Job summary

Persistent is seeking a Java Cloud Developer in Gurgaon to design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications for enterprise environments. You will work with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms to build high-performance backends, APIs, and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities include deploying on AWS/Azure/GCP, containerization with Docker, managing CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with architects, QA, and DevOps in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of Java backend experience in enterprise apps.
• Strong Spring Boot, microservices, and REST API design skills.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in SQL/NoSQL databases and event-driven patterns.
• Familiar with distributed systems, scalability, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices-based apps using Java and Spring Boot.

We are seeking a talented Java Cloud Developer with 5 to 8 years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable cloud-native applications for enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kubernetes, and modern cloud platforms. This role requires hands-on experience in building high-performance backend systems, developing APIs, implementing event-driven architectures, and managing containerized workloads in cloud environments.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs to support enterprise applications and integrations.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 5 to 8 years of experience in Java application development and backend engineering.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java 8/11/17 and object-oriented programming principles.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices Architecture.
• Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Hands-on experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience implementing event-driven architectures using Kafka, Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes platforms.
• Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, resiliency, and cloud-native design principles.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in SQL and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.
• Experience with monitoring tools and observability frameworks.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within Agile and cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
