Job summary

ULTISOURCE is seeking a seasoned Staff Engineer in Hyderabad to lead architectural decisions for cloud-native Java applications. You will own complex initiatives, drive end-to-end design, and collaborate across Product, QA, and DevOps to deliver scalable software.

You will design and implement microservices with Spring Boot/Spring Cloud, manage data pipelines, and oversee deployment on cloud platforms while mentoring engineers in an Agile environment.

• 9+ years hands-on software development experience with Java and Spring framework.
• Strong system design, data structures, and concurrent programming fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop high-performance, scalable, and transactional software systems using Java and Spring ecosystem.
• Lead technical design discussions and contribute to system design decisions across microservices and cloud-native architectures.
• Design and troubleshoot transactional systems with a focus on reliability, consistency, and performance.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, system design, and concurrent programming.
• Expertise in designing and troubleshooting transactional and distributed systems.
• Deep experience with microservices architecture, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, and Java EE.
• Proficiency in databases — Oracle, PostgreSQL, BigTable, BigQuery, and NoSQL.
• Hands‑on experience with GCP and/or AWS in native and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with event-driven systems using Pub/Sub and Dataflow.
• Strong command of DevOps toolchain — Docker, Kubernetes, Nexus, Maven, and Git.
• Proficient with Java IDEs (IntelliJ, Eclipse) and scripting formats (JSON, XML, YAML, Terraform).
• Experience with application servers such as Tomcat and Linux-based environments.
