Job Summary: We are seeking a visionary and highly experienced Principal/Lead Java Developer to drive the architecture, design, and development of our enterprise-scale applications. With over a decade of hands‑on experience, you will serve as a technical beacon for our engineering team, translating complex business requirements into scalable, robust, and secure software solutions. In this role, you will balance high‑level architectural design with hands‑on coding, mentoring junior/mid‑level engineers, and collaborating closely with product stakeholders to shape the future of our technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Architecture: System Design: Architect and design high-throughput, low-latency, and fault‑tolerant distributed systems using Java and microservices architecture.
• Modernization: Lead the migration of legacy monolithic systems to modern, cloud‑native architectures.
• Code Quality & Standards: Establish, promote, and enforce software engineering best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and comprehensive code reviews.
• Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve complex system performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and production issues.
• Core Coding: Write clean, well‑structured, maintainable, and highly optimized code for critical system components.
• API Design: Design and implement robust, secure, and scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Security: Implement enterprise‑grade security protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT) and ensure data compliance regulations are met.
• Mentorship & Collaboration: Team Guidance: Mentor and coach a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Cross‑Functional Alignment: Partner with Product Managers, DevOps, Data Engineers, and QA leads to define project roadmaps and deliver milestones on time.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Expertise
• Java mastery: 10+ years of professional software development experience, with deep expertise in Java (versions 11 through 21).
• Frameworks: Extensive experience with the Spring Ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Spring Data).
• Cloud & DevOps: Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Data Management: Strong proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).
• Messaging & Streaming: Hands‑on experience with event‑driven architectures and message brokers like Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• CI/CD & Tools: Proficiency with build tools (Maven, Gradle) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Soft Skills & Leadership: Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills. Proven track record of leading engineering teams and delivering complex, multi‑year projects. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
