Job summary

Capco, a Wipro company, is seeking a Java Backend Developer for the Vadodara hybrid role. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 17 and Spring; build robust RESTful APIs and microservices for enterprise platforms; design efficient databases with Oracle 19c and engage in CI/CD practices.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, performant solutions and participate in architecture discussions.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Java 17 and modern Java development practices.
• Expertise in Spring Boot 3.x, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Microservices Architecture.
• Solid experience designing and developing REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle 19c, including query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and code quality tools.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and collaborative engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and apply sustainable fixes.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and engineering best practices throughout the SDLC.

Design and optimize database solutions using Oracle 19c, ensuring efficient query performance and data integrity. Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and engineering best practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Required Skills & Experience Strong hands‑on experience in Java 17 and modern Java development practices.
