Job summary

VARITE India Private Limited is seeking a Backend Software Engineer II (Java) to design, build and maintain APIs and data-centric services for multiple customer journeys. You will collaborate with engineering managers, product managers, software and data engineers to deliver scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes system design, reliability and observability, with a global client base and a one-year contract. Immediate to 15 days start is expected, with virtual and face-to-face interviews.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in software engineering with strong knowledge of Java, Python or Golang.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field or 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the specialty as equivalent.
• Proven experience with System Design and Software Architecture.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working with teams located in different timezones is a plus.
• Experience with Reliability, Site Reliability, Observability and Monitoring is a strong plus.
