Job summary

Elabs Infotech is seeking a hands-on Java Technical SME in Hyderabad with 5 to 8 years of experience. You will lead design and delivery of Java-based applications, microservices and REST APIs, leveraging Hibernate/JPA or Spring JDBC and MongoDB.

You will mentor juniors and ensure scalable, high-quality code across the SDLC. The role emphasizes end-to-end delivery, performance troubleshooting, and clear technical doc creation, with a strong focus on quality and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Core Java and J2EE as a SME.
• Deep knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
• Experience with Hibernate/Spring JDBC and databases including MongoDB.
• Proficient in writing JUnit tests and using Git/GitHub, Maven.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java-based applications and microservices.
• Translate requirements into technical designs and solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code with Java and Spring Boot.
• Build REST APIs and manage data with Hibernate/JPA or Spring JDBC.
• Work with relational DBs and MongoDB; perform troubleshooting and optimization.
• Create and review technical design docs and SDLC deliverables.
• Mentor junior developers and ensure timely, quality delivery.

Role & responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical designs and solutions.
• Develop clean, efficient and testable code using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain Microservices and REST APIs.
• Perform database operations using Hibernate/JPA or Spring JDBC.
• Work with relational databases and MongoDB.
• Write and maintain JUnit test cases and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, production defects and performance challenges.
• Prepare technical design documents and application documentation.
• Contribute across the complete SDLC requirements, design, development, testing, deployment and support.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
• Take ownership of development deliverables and ensure quality and timely delivery.
