Job summary

Live Connections is seeking a backend engineer to join our Hyderabad team. You will work on Java-based services, design REST APIs, and support microservice architectures with Kafka-based messaging. Proficiency in Spring Boot, cloud platforms, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD is essential.

You will collaborate in an agile environment, ensure secure, scalable solutions, and contribute to testing and observability efforts across services.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Java backend development.
• Proficiency with frameworks such as Spring Boot / Spring MVC / Quarkus.
• Solid experience building and maintaining microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with REST API design and development.
• Strong working knowledge of Apache Kafka producers, consumers, topics, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms — GCP and/or AWS.
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Good exposure to relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
• Understanding of security best practices in backend systems (OAuth2, JWT).
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (logging, metrics, tracing).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional, agile teams.
