Job summary

Thales in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned backend engineer to design and implement scalable services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot, architect microservice patterns, and mentor junior developers in an energetic, international team.

You will deploy on AWS, manage Kubernetes/Docker deployments, configure CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins), integrate event systems like Kafka, and apply observability and AI tools to improve reliability while following Agile/Scrum practices.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java 17+ and Spring ecosystem.
• Experience building RESTful microservices.
• Cloud experience with AWS.
• Containerization with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with CI/CD tools GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins.
• Familiar with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience with OpenAI / Claude / LangChain / RAG.
• Strong system design and scalable architecture understanding.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
