Capgemini in Pune invites an experienced Java + AWS Engineer to join our backend team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable services using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, REST APIs, and a strong grasp of CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate with DevOps, QA, and product teams to ensure secure, high-performance software.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Java + AWS Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development expertise using Java and Spring Boot, along with hands-on experience in designing and deploying applications on AWS. You will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performance applications in a cloud-native environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture
• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS using services like EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, etc.
• Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services
• Optimize application performance and ensure scalability and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and Product Management

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and REST APIs, Strong problem solving with DSA
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.
• Familiarity with Microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes is a plus)
• Good understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, DynamoDB, etc.)
• Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket)
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Developer Associate or Solutions Architect)
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
