Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional Java development experience.

• Insurance domain experience is highly desirable.

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that align with business objectives. You will provide technical direction, mentor development teams, establish best practices, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality software while driving innovation and architectural excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable application architectures that meet business and technical requirements.
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise applications using Java 8+, Servlets, and JSP.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and tools to optimize application performance and scalability.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor development teams, and promote engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to deliver robust software solutions.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, architectural guidelines, and development best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality, reliable, and maintainable deliverables.
• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure production stability.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code with strong unit testing practices using JUnit.
• Work with XML for configuration and data processing.
• Contribute to build and deployment processes; experience with ANT or similar build tools is an advantage.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and drive continuous improvement across the development lifecycle.
