Responsibilities:

• API development in Java - Spring Boot
• Knowledge of application development using AWS services EKS/ECS, S3, SQS/SNS, Elastic Cache/Redis
• Bitbucket/Git, Jenkins CI/CD pipeline
• Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases
• Experience with logging, monitoring tools, and observability
• Apigee API Gateway (basic knowledge)
• Experience with rules engines – preferably Drools (optional)

Skills required:

• Strong ability to understand existing codebases and domain knowledge to some extent
• Capability to analyze and integrate the new system’s interfaces with existing APIs
• Hands‑on experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, AWS, and APIGEE
• Familiarity with Drools is an added advantage
• Ability to write and maintain JIRA stories (10‑15% of the time) and keep technical specifications updated
• End‑to‑end ownership of the project and ability to work independently on iterative tasks
• Proactive identification and highlighting of risks during daily scrum calls with regular updates
• Strong ownership and accountability in delivering the project, given its evolving nature
