• API development in Java - Spring Boot
• Knowledge of application development using AWS services EKS/ECS, S3, SQS/SNS, Elastic Cache/Redis
• Bitbucket/Git, Jenkins CI/CD Pipeline
• Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL database
• Experience with logging, monitoring tools, observability
• Apigee API Gateway (some knowledge)
• Experience with rules engines – preferably Drools

Skills Required

• Strong ability to understand existing codebases and domain knowledge to some extent.
• Capability to analyze and integrate the new system’s various interfaces with the existing APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, AWS, and APIGEE.
• Familiarity with Drools is an added advantage.
• Ability to write and maintain JIRA stories (10-15% of the time) and keep existing technical specifications updated.
• Should take end‑to‑end ownership of the project and work independently on iterative tasks.
• Should proactively identify and highlight risks during daily scrum calls and provide regular updates.
• While the technical requirements are fairly standard, the client is particularly looking for strong ownership and accountability in delivering this project, given its evolving nature.
