Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in Gujarat is seeking a skilled Fitter to join our pharma manufacturing maintenance team in Vapi. You will perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance on plant machinery, ensuring reliable operation and minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate holds ITI - Fitter with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, able to read drawings and manuals, coordinate with production and maintenance colleagues, and follow safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• 3 to 4 years of relevant experience.
• ITI - Fitter qualification required.
• Experience with plant machinery maintenance.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
• Perform fitting, assembly, installation, alignment, and dismantling of mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to pumps, gearboxes, motors, conveyors, compressors, and utility equipment.
• Ensure smooth functioning of production machines with minimum downtime.
• Replace worn-out parts, bearings, seals, couplings, and other mechanical components.
• Conduct routine inspection and maintenance of machinery as per maintenance schedules.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, layouts, and maintenance manuals.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts consumption.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for effective machine upkeep.
• Follow safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and company maintenance protocols.
