Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is hiring a Fitter for our client in Vapi. The role involves carrying out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery, performing fitting, assembly, installation, alignment, and dismantling of mechanical equipment.

The ideal candidate has ITI - Fitter and 3 to 4 years of experience, with ability to read mechanical drawings, maintain records, and coordinate with production teams while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• ITI - Fitter qualification
• 3–4 years of relevant maintenance/ fitting experience
• Experience in maintenance of plant machinery

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
• Perform fitting, assembly, installation, alignment, and dismantling of mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to pumps, gearboxes, motors, conveyors, compressors, and utility equipment.
• Ensure smooth functioning of production machines with minimum downtime.
• Replace worn-out parts, bearings, seals, couplings, and other mechanical components.
• Conduct routine inspection and maintenance of machinery as per maintenance schedules.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, layouts, and maintenance manuals.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts consumption.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for effective machine upkeep.
• Follow safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and company maintenance protocols.
