Job summary

Jobgether's partner is seeking an IT System Administrator specialized in Automic (UC4) based in India to support enterprise-wide automation and scheduling.

You will administer Automic environments, configure workflows, troubleshoot, and ensure secure, reliable operations across Windows and Linux, SAP, Informatica, and file-based interfaces.

Collaborate with stakeholders and IT teams to translate automation needs into scalable solutions and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • 7+ years of directly related professional experience in IT systems administration or similar role.
  • Strong hands‑on expertise with Automic (UC4) including administration, configuration, scheduling, workflows, dependencies, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience administering Automic components: Automation Engine, Agents, Service Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and scripting environments.
  • Experience with SAP job scheduling (SAP R/3 4.7, SM36/SM37).
  • Experience supporting Informatica workflows and OS command-line automation.
  • Expertise with Automic RAFTP, SFTP, PGP encryption, and file-transfer interfaces.
  • Strong Oracle SQL skills for troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Experience with LDAP, SSO, AWI, and Jetty or similar auth/web technologies.
  • Ability to translate requirements into practical automation solutions and work with globally distributed teams.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Automic (UC4) environments including current 24.x versions.
  • Configure and manage Automic workflows, job schedules, dependencies, and automation processes.
  • Manage Automic components: Automation Engine, Agents, Service Manager.
  • Install, configure, maintain Automic components on Windows and Linux.
  • Support SAP R/3 4.7 scheduling (SM36/SM37) and integration services.
  • Support Informatica workflows and OS command-line automation.
  • Troubleshoot failed jobs and performance issues to maintain operations.
  • Manage Automic users, roles, and security configurations.
  • Support file interfaces (RAFTP, SFTP, PGP encryption).
  • Work with Oracle SQL to investigate automation issues and performance tuning.
  • Assist with authentication technologies (LDAP, SSO, AWI, Jetty).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design scalable automation solutions and drive improvements.

This role offers the opportunity to support enterprise-wide automation and business-critical scheduling capabilities in a global technology environment.
You will administer and optimize Automic (UC4) platforms that orchestrate SAP jobs, Informatica workflows, and file-based integrations.
The position combines hands‑on systems administration, workflow configuration, troubleshooting, security, and continuous improvement.
You will partner with business stakeholders, application owners, and IT teams to translate automation needs into reliable and scalable solutions.
The role provides exposure to Windows and Linux environments, enterprise integrations, authentication technologies, and modern automation practices.
You will help improve platform availability, performance, security, and efficiency while reducing manual operational effort.

Accountabilities:
  • Administer, maintain, and support Automic (UC4) environments, including current 24.x platform versions.
  • Configure and manage Automic workflows, job schedules, dependencies, and enterprise automation processes.
  • Manage core Automic components, including Automation Engine, Agents, and Service Manager.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Automic components across Windows and Linux environments.
  • Support SAP R/3 4.7 job scheduling, including SM36 and SM37, and enable reliable scheduling and integration services for enterprise applications.
  • Support Informatica workflows, OS command-line processes, and file-based integrations within enterprise automation environments.
  • Troubleshoot failed jobs, scheduling issues, system incidents, and performance‑related problems to maintain reliable business operations.
  • Manage Automic users, roles, permissions, and security configurations.
  • Support integrations involving RAFTP, SFTP, PGP encryption, and file interfaces.
  • Work with Oracle SQL to investigate issues, troubleshoot automation processes, and support performance tuning.
  • Support authentication and access technologies such as LDAP, SSO, AWI, and Jetty.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, application owners, and IT teams to understand automation requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize scheduling, improve workflows, reduce manual intervention, and increase platform efficiency.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, modernization, security enhancements, and enterprise automation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with globally distributed teams to maintain alignment and operational continuity across STS and MTS environments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of directly related professional experience in IT systems administration or a comparable technical role; candidates without formal education may qualify with 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong hands‑on expertise with the Automic (UC4) platform, including administration, configuration, scheduling, workflows, dependencies, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience administering Automic components such as Automation Engine, Agents, and Service Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and scripting environments.
  • Experience with SAP job scheduling, particularly SAP R/3 4.7 and transactions SM36/SM37.
  • Experience supporting Informatica workflows and OS command-line‑based automation.
  • Expertise with Automic RAFTP, SFTP, PGP encryption, and file‑transfer interfaces.
  • Strong Oracle SQL skills for troubleshooting, investigation, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with LDAP, SSO, AWI, and Jetty or comparable authentication and web-based technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities, with a structured approach to diagnosing complex system and automation issues.
