Job summary

Amazon is seeking Ops Tech IT Support Engineers to provide frontline IT assistance for its Fulfillment site operations. You will maintain IT equipment, troubleshoot PCs, printers, handheld devices, and thin clients while supporting senior engineers on projects.

The role requires flexibility for shift-based days off, travel within the region, and strict adherence to safety procedures. The position reports to the IT manager for the Fulfillment sites and expects proactive customer service skills

Qualifications

• 1+ years of corporate IT support experience with Windows, macOS or Linux.
• Experience troubleshooting integrated and interdependent computer systems.
• Experience maintaining printers, thin clients, PCs, scanners and handheld terminals.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of IT equipment across Fulfillment sites.
• Troubleshooting IT equipment including PCs, wireless devices, printers, and end-user devices.
• Manage RMA and repair processes for devices under warranty.
• Support Senior Engineers in daily projects and activities.
• Work 5 days a week with rotating days off due to shift patterns and business needs.
• Travel to multiple buildings within the region as required.
• Adhere to safety procedures while performing work.
• Report to IT manager for Fulfillment sites.

About The Role

Ops Tech IT Support Engineers will be responsible for utilizing their skills to provide assistance to the operations team in resolving technical problems within these sites that cover a multitude of technical disciplines. The IT Support Engineers position is the first level of support for the operations of the Amazon Sites and becomes the voice and face of the IT department to our customers.

Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Maintenance of IT equipment throughout the Fullfillment sites.
• Troubleshooting of all IT related equipment such as PCs, wireless handheld devices, thin clients, printers and other end user devices.
• Manage RMA and repair process for all devices under warranty.
• Support the Senior Engineers in daily projects and activities as directed.
• We have a 5-day work week but given the 7 days a week operation, the 2 scheduled days off will vary based on shift patterns and business needs.
• The position will require supporting of multiple buildings around the area and flexible to travel to sites with in the state /region.
• Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work
• This position reports directly to the IT manager for the Fullfillment sites.

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of corporate setting Windows, Mac or Linux Operating systems support experience
• Experience troubleshooting integrated and interdependent computer systems
• Experience maintaining zebra thermal printers, troubleshooting thin clients, PCs, scanners, and portable handheld terminals

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Linux (Redhat), Microsoft hardware (installation), AWS, or other industry relevant certificates
• Experience in a dynamic environment with a high degree of customer service
