Job summary

Metayb in Chennai, Tamil Nadu seeks an IT Support Associate to provide day-to-day technical assistance to employees and maintain IT infrastructure. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, networks, and user access while keeping accurate IT documentation and asset records.

The role requires basic knowledge of Windows 10/11, networking concepts, and Microsoft 365, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Windows operating systems and hardware basics.
• Understanding of LAN/Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP concepts.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite and admin tasks.
• Able to troubleshoot common IT problems and document steps.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level IT support for laptops, desktops, printers, applications, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot LAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, Internet, DNS, and DHCP issues.
• Install, configure and maintain operating systems and approved software.
• Assist with user onboarding/offboarding and asset provisioning.
• Manage IT support tickets and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and documentation.
• Support network devices, Microsoft 365, IP phones, CCTV, attendance systems, and other IT infrastructure.
• Escalate complex issues to senior staff or vendors.
• Follow IT policies, SOPs and security practices.

The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and user-access issues while maintaining proper IT documentation and asset records.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level support for laptops, desktops, printers, applications, and peripherals .
• Troubleshoot basic LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, Internet, DNS, and DHCP issues.

• Manage and update IT support tickets and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and documentation .

• Escalate complex issues to senior IT personnel or vendors.
