Job summary

Zebra Technologies is seeking an experienced IT Quality Assurance Advisor to lead testing strategy and automation for Oracle EBS across Order Management, Supply Chain, Repairs, and Finance. You will mentor QA analysts, define standards, and drive continuous quality improvement across multiple projects in a hybrid work setting.

You will partner with business, product, and development teams to ensure test coverage, timely releases, and robust quality metrics, while advancing AI‑assisted testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 8+ years in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or Quality Engineering.
• 5+ years testing Oracle E‑Business Suite applications.
• Extensive experience validating end‑to‑end business processes across multiple Oracle EBS modules.
• Proven leadership of QA activities for large enterprise implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, testing methodologies, and quality engineering principles.
• Experience in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA activities for Oracle EBS enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and initiatives.
• Serve as SME for Oracle EBS OM, SCM, Repairs, and Finance modules.
• Define testing strategies, standards, frameworks, and best practices.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain test plans, cases, and automated suites.

What We're Looking For

The IT Quality Assurance Advisor is responsible for leading testing strategy, test automation, and quality assurance activities for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) applications and integrated enterprise systems. This role serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for Oracle EBS Order Management, Supply Chain, Repairs, and Finance business processes while driving the adoption of modern testing practices, automation frameworks, and quality engineering methodologies.

The advisor partners with business stakeholders, product owners, functional analysts, developers, and project teams to ensure enterprise solutions meet business requirements, maintain system integrity, and deliver exceptional quality. This position provides leadership in test planning, automation strategy, defect management, release validation, and continuous quality improvement initiatives across multiple projects and programs.

Job Description

• Lead quality assurance activities for Oracle EBS enhancements, integrations, upgrades, support initiatives, and strategic business projects.
• Serve as the QA subject matter expert for Oracle EBS Order Management, Supply Chain, Repairs, and Finance modules.
• Define testing strategies, quality standards, test frameworks, and best practices for enterprise applications.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated test suites.
• Drive test automation initiatives and increase automation coverage across Oracle EBS and integrated applications.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, end‑to‑end, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Evaluate business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs to ensure complete test coverage.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to validate complex end‑to‑end business processes spanning multiple Oracle EBS modules.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Lead release validation activities and support production deployments.
• Develop testing metrics, dashboards, and reporting to measure application quality and release readiness.
• Mentor QA analysts and provide guidance on test design, automation, quality engineering practices, and defect management.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve testing efficiency through automation, process improvements, and AI‑assisted testing approaches.
• Validate integrations between Oracle EBS and external applications, APIs, middleware platforms, data warehouses, and reporting solutions.
• Establish reusable automation assets, test data management practices, and automated regression suites.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, project planning sessions, design reviews, and solution validation activities.
• Support audit, compliance, SOX, and regulatory testing requirements where applicable.
• Act as a trusted advisor for quality engineering practices across business and technology teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or Quality Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience testing Oracle E‑Business Suite applications.
• Strong subject matter expertise in Oracle EBS: Order Management (OM) Inventory & Supply Chain Management Depot Repair / Repairs Finance (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cost Management).
• Extensive experience validating end‑to‑end business processes across multiple Oracle EBS modules.
• Proven experience leading QA activities for large‑scale enterprise application implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and quality engineering principles.
• Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery environments.

Required Test Automation Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks.
• Experience with enterprise automation tools including Tricentis Tosca, OpenText UFT / UFT One (formerly HP UFT/QTP), Selenium, Playwright, API testing tools such as Postman or SOAP UI.
• Experience designing automated regression, integration, smoke, and end‑to‑end test suites.
• Experience implementing risk‑based and model‑based test automation approaches.
• Ability to automate Oracle EBS business processes across multiple functional modules.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, or similar DevOps platforms.
• Experience creating automated test reporting, dashboards, and quality metrics.
• Experience with service/API automation and backend validation techniques.
• Knowledge of test data management and automated test execution strategies.
• Experience evaluating and implementing automation best practices and framework improvements.

Technical Qualifications

• Experience using JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, Quality Center, or similar test management platforms.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation, troubleshooting, and backend testing.
• Experience testing integrations involving Oracle EBS REST APIs, Middleware platforms, Data warehouses, Reporting systems.
• Experience validating complex workflows involving finance, order fulfillment, inventory management, procurement, and repair operations.
• Experience with defect lifecycle management and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based enterprise applications and hybrid integrations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise‑wide QA transformation and automation initiatives.
• Experience establishing QA standards, governance models, and testing centers of excellence.
• Oracle EBS functional or technical certifications.
• Experience with Tricentis qTest, NeoLoad, or additional modern testing platforms.
• Knowledge of AI‑assisted testing tools and quality engineering practices.
• Experience mentoring QA teams and leading cross‑functional testing efforts.
• Experience supporting global business operations across supply chain, finance, manufacturing, and service organizations.
