Buckzy Payments Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Developer to join our engineering team in Mumbai. You will work on a fast-paced, secure payments platform, building scalable server-side components in cloud environments like Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.

The role emphasizes delivering production-grade software with a direct-to-production mindset. Ideal candidates have deep Java microservices experience, JavaScript familiarity, and strong REST API/set of integrations capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience as a JAVA backend services developer in delivering compliant, available and scalable applications in a cloud environment.
• Financial industry experience is recommended.
• Payments/Digital Money Movement experience is highly desired but not mandatory.
• Expertise in developing Java Microservices using spring boot, docker, Kubernetes etc.

Job Description

As an IT Developer, you will join a diverse, passionate team, dedicated to making possibilities happen in the payments industry. We believe we can always do better, we are constantly re-evaluating our technical infrastructure to deliver faster, better, and more reliable software.

Summary

The position is an important role within Buckzy. You need to have a deep understanding of how to write quality, maintainable software in a highly secure and compliant environment. Since we are striving for a direct-to-production pipeline, you will need to move quickly. It will be very helpful if you have a solid understanding and experience in building server-side components in a hosted cloud platform (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure).

The position is ideal for self-motivated and self-directed individuals who have production experience with large-scale distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Financial industry experience is recommended
• Payments/Digital Money Movement experience is highly desired but not mandatory
• Expertise in developing Java Microservices using spring boot, docker, Kubernetes etc.
• Programming expertise in Java, JavaScript; and familiarity with other languages.
• Experience building, testing, and consuming REST APIs is a must-have.
• Experience with high-throughput messaging technologies and patterns; Kafka and/or related technologies a plus.
• Exposure to databases of any types relational, analytical, columnar, etc; including Postgres, is a plus
• Experience with Git source control and building/maintaining Continuous Integration and Delivery pipelines; Jenkins experience a plus.
• Experience in Object-Oriented Development
• Familiarity with Blockchain development is considered a plus
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum-inspired delivery methodology.
