Job summary

Venturesathi in India is seeking a proactive IT Administrator to manage and support our IT infrastructure spanning technology, BPO, back-office, analytics, and accounting operations.

You will handle hardware, networking, cloud environments (AWS/Azure), security, and end-user support to ensure uninterrupted operations in a fast-paced, multi-process environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems or related field.
  • 2–5 years of IT Administration, System Administration, Network Administration, IT Infrastructure or IT Support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, Wi‑Fi).
  • Hands-on experience with Windows operating systems, hardware troubleshooting, and end-user support.
  • Working knowledge of AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
  • Understanding of IT security, access management, endpoint security, data protection, and backup systems.
  • Experience supporting IT infrastructure in a BPO/ITES or multi-user environment preferred.

Job description

We are looking for a proactive and technically strong IT Administrator to manage and support our IT infrastructure across our technology, BPO, back-office, analytics, accounting, and business operations. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on expertise in hardware, networking, system administration, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and end‑user support, with the ability to ensure uninterrupted IT support in a fast‑paced, multi‑process environment.

1. IT Infrastructure & Network Administration
  • Design, configure, implement, maintain, and monitor the organization's IT and network infrastructure.
  • Manage routers, switches, firewalls, LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPNs, and related networking equipment.
  • Monitor network and server performance and proactively identify potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity, system, hardware, and infrastructure‑related problems.
  • Ensure maximum uptime and availability of critical IT infrastructure.
  • Maintain network documentation, configurations, system details, and infrastructure records.
  • Coordinate with Internet Service Providers and external IT vendors for connectivity and infrastructure‑related issues.
  • Plan and support IT infrastructure requirements for new teams, processes, and office expansions.
2. BPO & Operations IT Support
  • Provide end‑to‑end IT support to BPO, customer service, back‑office, and operations teams.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of BPO workstations, desktops, laptops, headsets, printers, scanners, and other operational equipment.
  • Support and troubleshoot CRM, dialer/telephony systems, call‑recording systems, productivity applications, and process‑specific software.
  • Monitor internet connectivity, network performance, and system availability across BPO operations.
  • Resolve technical issues that may impact agent productivity, customer service operations, or client deliverables.
  • Work closely with Operations and Team Leaders to identify recurring technical issues and implement preventive solutions.
  • Support IT requirements during new process launches, batch hiring, workforce ramp‑ups, and office expansions.
  • Ensure timely IT readiness for new employees joining BPO and other business processes.
3. Hardware & Asset Management
  • Install, configure, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, networking devices, and other IT equipment.
  • Diagnose hardware and software failures and coordinate repairs or replacements.
  • Maintain an updated inventory of all IT assets.
  • Manage allocation, movement, recovery, and handover of IT assets.
  • Ensure proper IT asset availability for new joiners and replacement requirements.
  • Coordinate with vendors for procurement, repair, warranty, and maintenance of IT equipment.
  • Maintain proper documentation of IT assets, warranties, licenses, and service records.
  • Assist in the implementation, administration, and optimization of cloud environments such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
  • Manage cloud‑based applications, storage, services, permissions, and basic infrastructure configurations.
  • Monitor cloud resources, performance, availability, and utilization.
  • Support server administration, maintenance, updates, and performance monitoring.
  • Assist in virtualization and cloud migration initiatives where required.
  • Ensure appropriate access controls and security configurations across cloud platforms.
5. IT Security & Access Management
  • Implement and maintain IT security policies, protocols, and best practices.
  • Monitor systems for potential security threats, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access.
  • Create, modify, and deactivate employee user accounts and system access.
  • Manage application permissions based on employee roles and responsibilities.
  • Support endpoint security, antivirus, firewall, password, and device security requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate protection of company data and IT resources.
  • Conduct regular checks to identify unauthorized software, devices, or access.
  • Support security awareness and compliance initiatives across the organization.
6. User & Technical Support
  • Provide timely technical support to employees across all departments and processes.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, application, and access‑related issues.
  • Assist employees with system configuration, application installation, connectivity, and IT‑related queries.
  • Maintain an efficient IT helpdesk/ticketing or issue‑tracking process.
  • Prioritize and resolve critical IT issues that may impact business operations.
  • Maintain records of reported issues, resolutions, recurring problems, and preventive actions.
7. Business Application & Software Support
  • Assist teams with the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of accounting, financial, analytical, MIS, CRM, HRMS, reporting, and business applications.
  • Install and configure required software and application updates.
  • Coordinate with software vendors and service providers for technical issues.
  • Support users in resolving application‑related problems.
  • Ensure required software licenses and access permissions are properly maintained.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and improve technology‑driven business processes.
8. HRMS, Attendance & Employee Technology Support
  • Support the administration and technical functioning of HRMS, attendance, leave, workforce management, and access‑control systems.
  • Create and manage system access for new employees and deactivate access during employee exits.
  • Ensure IT readiness for employee onboarding, internal transfers, and process movements.
  • Coordinate with HR to resolve employee‑related system and access issues.
  • Support integration and troubleshooting of attendance devices, access systems, and employee technology platforms.
9. Backup, Data Recovery & Business Continuity
  • Implement and maintain appropriate data backup and recovery procedures.
  • Monitor scheduled backups and troubleshoot backup failures.
  • Develop and maintain data retrieval and recovery procedures.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.
  • Ensure critical business data and IT documentation are appropriately backed up and securely maintained.
  • Regularly review backup and recovery processes to minimize potential data loss and downtime.
10. IT Monitoring & Preventive Maintenance
  • Regularly monitor systems, networks, servers, devices, and critical applications.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce system failures and downtime.
  • Identify recurring technical problems and implement long‑term solutions.
  • Maintain system logs and technical documentation.
  • Track and report significant IT incidents, downtime, and resolution status.
  • Ensure critical infrastructure remains operational during peak business hours.
  • Coordinate with Internet Service Providers, hardware vendors, software providers, cloud service providers, and other IT partners.
  • Manage service requests, maintenance schedules, repairs, and technical escalations.
  • Evaluate technical requirements and provide recommendations for IT procurement.
  • Assist management in comparing IT solutions based on functionality, security, scalability, and cost.
  • Maintain records of vendor contracts, warranties, licenses, and service agreements.
12. IT Documentation & Process Improvement
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, processes, configurations, assets, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Create and maintain IT SOPs, checklists, troubleshooting guides, and user documentation.
  • Develop efficient user feedback and IT issue‑reporting mechanisms.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive IT tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Recommend technology upgrades and infrastructure improvements based on business requirements.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, cybersecurity practices, cloud solutions, and IT administration best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in IT Administration, System Administration, Network Administration, IT Infrastructure, or IT Support.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi‑Fi infrastructure.
