Job summary

Intellicredence is seeking an IoT QA Engineer to ensure quality across IoT devices, applications and backend systems. The role focuses on manual testing, firmware validation, API testing with Postman, and SQL-based data checks.

You will work closely with product, firmware and development teams in an Agile/Scrum setup to deliver robust solutions with strong reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Engineering or related field.
• 4–6 years of IoT/ Firmware Testing experience demonstrated.
• Strong knowledge of manual/functional testing and API testing with Postman.

Responsibilities

• Test IoT devices, firmware, and hardware-software integration.
• Validate device connectivity, data sync, OTA updates, and real-time data transmission.
• Test IoT protocols including MQTT, HTTP, and CoAP.
• Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, System and UAT testing.
• Prepare and execute test cases, test scenarios, tests, and RTM.
• API testing using Postman and validate JSON/XML responses.
• Backend/database validation using SQL.
• Log and track defects using JIRA, Bugzilla or similar tools.
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment with development teams.

Job Summary

We are looking for an IoT QA Engineer with experience in manual testing, IoT device/firmware testing, API testing, and backend validation. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of IoT devices, applications, and backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Test IoT devices, firmware, and hardware-software integration.
• Validate device connectivity, data synchronization, OTA updates, and real-time data transmission.
• Test IoT protocols such as MQTT, HTTP, and CoAP.
• Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, System, and UAT testing.
• Prepare and execute test cases, test scenarios, test plans, and RTM.
• Perform API testing using Postman and validate JSON/XML responses.
• Perform backend and database validation using SQL.
• Log and track defects using JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar tools.
• Work closely with development, firmware, and product teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Manual & Functional Testing.
• 4-6 experience in IoT/Firmware Testing.
• Experience with API Testing Postman.
• Knowledge of Backend Testing and SQL.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile.
• Experience with JIRA/TestRail/Bugzilla.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Selenium with Java/Python
• AWS IoT / Azure IoT
• Basic JMeter/Performance Testing

Qualification

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Engineering, or a related field.
