Job summary

Infosys Limited in Hyderabad is seeking an IoT & Edge-to-Cloud Connectivity Support Engineer to provide production support for IoT applications and edge-to-cloud solutions. You will monitor device connectivity, telemetry flow, gateway health, and cloud ingestion while troubleshooting MQTT, HTTP/REST, AMQP, and network issues.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in IoT, application support, cloud support, integration support, or production support.
• Strong knowledge of MQTT, HTTP/REST, and AMQP protocols.
• Experience with IoT device connectivity, edge gateways, telemetry, and edge‑to‑cloud communication.
• Understanding of IoT architecture covering devices, gateways, messaging, cloud ingestion, APIs, and applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for IoT applications, connected devices, gateways, and edge-to-cloud solutions.
• Monitor device connectivity, message delivery, telemetry flow, gateway health, cloud ingestion, and application performance.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues involving MQTT, HTTP/REST, AMQP, TCP/IP, APIs, certificates, and network configurations.
• Investigate device disconnections, delayed messages, failed telemetry, authentication errors, and integration failures.
• Support communication between IoT devices, edge gateways, cloud platforms, and downstream applications.
• Analyze logs, alerts, message queues, API responses, and device or gateway diagnostics.
• Perform incident resolution, root-cause analysis, problem management, and preventive-action tracking.
• Support device registration, provisioning, authentication, certificate management, configuration, and firmware-update processes.
• Work with development, cloud, network, security, hardware, and platform teams to resolve production issues.
• Create and maintain support documentation, runbooks, standard operating procedures, and knowledge-base articles.
• Participate in deployments, releases, change management, service reviews, and operational readiness activities.
• Automate repetitive monitoring, validation, troubleshooting, and support tasks where applicable.
• Ensure the reliability, security, scalability, and availability of IoT connectivity solutions.

Technical and Professional Requirements

4–7 years of experience in IoT, application support, cloud support, integration support, or production support.Strong knowledge of MQTT, HTTP/REST, and AMQP protocols.Experience with IoT device connectivity, edge gateways, telemetry, and edge-to-cloud communication.Understanding of IoT architecture covering devices, gateways, messaging, cloud ingestion, APIs, and applications.Experience troubleshooting network, protocol, API, authentication, certificate, and message-delivery issues.Working knowledge of Linux, log analysis, networking, REST APIs, JSON, and security fundamentals.Scripting or programming experience in Python, Java, Node.js, C, or C++.Experience in incident management, problem management, root-cause analysis, and production support.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
