Job summary

AIMLEAP is seeking an experienced iOS Developer (Swift) for Bangalore (Hybrid). You will build high-quality native apps for connected-device products, collaborating with Android, backend, QA, and design teams to deliver reliable, performant code.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining iOS apps, integrating with devices over Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi, and converting UI/UX designs into polished screens while following modern architectures and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of iOS development experience.
• Strong Swift skills with SwiftUI.
• Hands-on UIKit experience.
• Knowledge of Swift Concurrency (async/await) and Combine.
• URLSession networking and persistence (Core Data/SwiftData).
• Background modes and app lifecycle handling.
• Privacy and permission handling (Info.plist).
• Testing with XCTest/XCUITest and profiling with Instruments.
• Modular apps using Swift Package Manager; Git with code-review workflows.

iOS Developer (Swift) | AIMLEAP | Bangalore (Hybrid) | 4–7 years

About the role

We're looking for an iOS developer to build high-quality native apps for connected-device products. You'll work closely with Android, backend, QA and design colleagues to deliver features that are reliable and performant, with clean code throughout.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain native iOS apps in Swift and SwiftUI.
• Integrate apps with external devices over Bluetooth Low Energy and Wi-Fi.
• Turn UI/UX designs into polished, responsive, accessible screens.
• Integrate with REST APIs using a shared API contract (OpenAPI).
• Apply a modern app architecture (MVVM, clean architecture, TCA or similar).
• Write unit and UI tests, and take part in code reviews.
• Profile and fix performance, memory, battery and stability issues.
• Work in an agile team that uses CI/CD pipelines.

Must-have

• 4–7 years of iOS development, with strong Swift skills.
• Hands-on experience with SwiftUI, plus working knowledge of UIKit.
• Swift Concurrency (async/await) and Combine.
• URLSession networking, plus Core Data, SwiftData or similar persistence.
• Background modes (Bluetooth, audio, background tasks) and app lifecycle handling.
• Permission and privacy handling (Info.plist, privacy manifests).
• Testing with XCTest or XCUITest, and profiling with Instruments.
• Modular apps built with Swift Package Manager, plus Git and a code-review workflow.

Strongly preferred

• Experience with smart glasses, wearables or AR devices.
• CoreBluetooth: GATT services and characteristics, scanning, pairing, and state restoration.
• Network framework or local network communication with devices.
• Integrating third-party hardware or vendor SDKs.

Nice-to-have

• Media handling (AVFoundation, camera, audio).
• OAuth2/OpenID Connect authentication flows.
• Crash reporting and monitoring tools such as Sentry or Firebase Crashlytics.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
